Mars4 monthly recap: March

This March we’ve seen Mars4’s steady progress continue unabated. Today, we’d like to share some of the achievements and developments that the Mars4 team have brought forward.

During this month, the team is proud to share that the First Wave Colonists program was well-received and was entirely sold out. This, coupled with the Drop Pod program that delivered building blueprints to Mars4 landowners and has provided opportunities for those competing in the current productivity score contest. The MCC contest is a way for the Mars4 team to provide benefits and engage with our community in a meaningful manner.

Regarding the progress of game development this month, March has been notable. The team has been proud to tease the multiplayer functionality of the Mars4 game. This represents a significant milestone for the team as multiplayer is one of the key pillars of the 3D game and the arrival of cooperative gameplay on the surface of Mars is something to look forward to!

In addition to the future direction of the Mars4 game, the development team has also introduced a new real-time mini-map rendering system. This new system is more streamlined and useful to colonists traversing the Martian terrain. We’re aiming to see fewer colonists getting lost on the surface! In the coming month, our development team wants to look at improving the tutorial sections and the onboarding process to help potential players get started in the Mars game.

Finally and perhaps most important of all, this month has seen the introduction of the productivity score system. This is part of our efforts to combine the Mars Control Center with the Mars survival game allowing our player base to enjoy the Red Planet and earn while doing so. The game’s score system is still in its infancy at this stage but represents a significant development for the union of the two platforms.

We look forward to sharing more progress in the coming months and we hope you’re as excited as we are to be part of these new developments.
