Mars4 Patch Notes: Nexus

New Features


LOADING SCREEN UPDATE

The previously plain black loading screen has been replaced with dynamic visuals. Players will now see random images alongside helpful game tips during loading.


NEW CHARACTER EFFECTS

Movement Enhancements:

  • Added new camera angles and effects for a more immersive experience.

  • Introduced a slight camera shake when running or landing with damage.

Combat Effects:

  • A vignette effect is applied when aiming with a weapon.

  • Increased camera shake when firing pistols.

Vehicle Dynamics:

  • Vehicles now have a zoom-out camera effect when speeding up.


Updates and Improvements

  • Foundations can now be built on top of cliffs in generated Mars4 lands.

  • Localized Grid Station now consumes energy cells.

  • The Outpost Fabricator, Survival Tool Assembler, and Core Component Crafter now come with fully charged energy cells when crafted.

  • The wiring tool now has a reduced crafting cost.

  • Generic ammo weight has been reduced for easier transport and usage.


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where resource airdrops from MCC accounts were not working.

  • Addressed a bug preventing players from picking up broken Armorer Robot T1 units.

  • Resolved floating issues with heaters and portable furnaces when foundations or ceilings were destroyed.

  • Corrected the animation for the portable fabricator.

  • Fixed robots floating above Carpentry, Weaponsmith, and Power Grid machines.

  • Resolved an issue causing the first hotbar slot to lock when players joined a server.

  • Increased the number of robots spawned on public servers.

  • Fixed an issue where some drop pods arrived empty.

  • Added missing containers and cabinet blueprints to fabricator crafting lists.

  • Fixed drop pods incorrectly delivering wind turbines instead of vibration turbines.

  • Resolved a game-breaking bug where characters could die while riding the Shrike V7.

  • Fixed an issue where robots would continue attacking disconnected players.

  • Corrected electrical socket connections on specific machines.

  • Changed the High Tech Component Crafter recipe to use printable basalt instead of graphene nanoflakes.

  • Fixed an issue where crafting para-aramid fibers resulted in blank resources.

  • Updated the Dominion Fabricator recipe to require para-aramid fibers instead of liquidboard.

I keep a tab open with Crazyig for when I need a break during work. They have a decent collection of browser games that run smoothly without any lag. The racing and shooting categories are where I usually end up spending most of my time.
